Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about searching across second-hand platforms, setting up automatic scans, and making the most of your credits.

What is All Second Hand?

All Second Hand lets you search across a multitude of second-hand platforms in a single search.

Instead of opening a dozen other platforms in separate tabs, setting the same filters on each one, comparing prices across different currencies, and repeating that routine every day, you scan all the different platforms with one single click, through All Second Hand.

The heart of the app is the automatic scan feature, which automatically alerts you when a new listing matching your search criteria is detected.

The app serves a wide range of second-hand shoppers, from the casual browser to the dedicated deal hunter.

If you’re bargain hunting for a specific item (say, a used MacBook Pro at a target price), you can set up an auto-scan across a handful of platforms and get alerted the moment a listing drops into your range.

If you’re a collector tracking rare finds such as vintage watches, retro video games, or first-edition books, the tightest scan intervals mean you will most likely be the first one to contact the seller.

Resellers monitoring below-market deals can watch multiple categories and platforms simultaneously, with alerts arriving wherever they ’re most responsive.

Whether you search once a week or run fifteen auto-scans around the clock, the app scales to match your pace.

Yes. All Second Hand offers a completely free tier, which goes a long way for someone who searches casually: 5,000 free credits every month, roughly 140 full searches across every platform we cover.

Automatic scans and alerts are part of the paid plans, but you can try everything free first: every account gets a 7-day free Pro trial, no credit card required.

Paid tiers start at 7,00 EUR per month, each with more monthly credits and faster scan intervals. The full comparison can be found on the Plans page.

All Second Hand currently mainly covers platforms across many countries, with a focus on Europe today. However, in the future, we plan on implementing additional platforms from other continents.

Search & Discovery

All Second Hand currently covers dozens of platforms across multiple countries, from international giants to national champions.

Our international platforms are: eBay, Reverb (music gear), Shpock, and Vinted.

Our Western Europeplatforms are: Kleinanzeigen (Germany’s largest classifieds site), Marktplaats (Netherlands), 2dehands / 2ememain (Belgium), and Leboncoin (France’s largest classifieds site).

Our Southern Europe platforms are: Wallapop (Spain), Subito (Italy), and OLX Portugal.

Our Scandinavian platforms are Blocket (Sweden), DBA (Denmark), Finn (Norway), and Tori (Finland).

Our Central and Eastern Europe platforms are: Willhaben (Austria), Jófogás (Hungary), Tutti and Anibis (Switzerland), and OLX Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, and Ukraine.

We are constantly working on adding new platforms. If a particular platform matters to you, feel free to reach out and let us know; it helps us prioritise.

The starting point of a search is defining the correct keyword(s), just the way you would on a regular second-hand platform. All Second Hand also lets you select which second-hand platforms you want to search across.

To make your search results more pertinent, All Second Hand implemented different Search Filters, such as a price range, an item’s condition (new, used, or both), a specific item-category (electronics, music, books, ...) to search within.

You can also select which order listings should be fetched in from the second-hand platforms (by relevance, cheapest first, newest first, ...).

Once your keywords and your chosen Search Filters are selected and you hit search, All Second Hand queries every selected platform simultaneously based on the criteria you selected, and merges the results into a single feed.

From the results page, you get a range of Refine Filters which allow you to narrow the fetched results even further. The results page also allows you to bookmark interesting listings and save the entire search configuration with a name for quick re-use later, which can later even be turned into an automatic scan that runs on a schedule.

Yes. Anyone can search without signing in, with a limit of five free manual searches per day. Signing in, which is free and takes under a minute, gives you 5,000 free credits every month on the Free plan — roughly 140 full searches across every platform we cover.

Creating an account also unlocks saved searches, bookmarks, and alerts, which are the features that turn All Second Hand from a simple search tool into something that works on your behalf around the clock.

A saved search stores your entire search configuration (Search Filters and Refine Filters) under a name you choose. You can re-run the search at any time with one simple click from the sidebar, modify its parameters, or promote the search to an automatic scan that sends alerts.

A bookmark saves an individual listing you want to keep an eye on. It captures a snapshot of the listing at the moment you bookmarked it (price, image, location, shipping cost) and is organised under the saved search it was found through. You can browse your bookmarked listings on the Saved Listings page, filter them by platform or price, and remove them when you no longer need them.

Plans & Credits

A credit is the basic unit of usage on All Second Hand:

Every platform you include in a search or automatic scan costs a set number of credits. Most platforms cost 1 credit; a few cost 2 credits (large results) or 3 credits (anti-bot warm-up or the largest results).

Every plan includes a monthly credit allowance that resets on the first of each calendar month. The search interface always shows the credit cost upfront, so you know exactly what you’re spending before you run anything.

All Second Hand offers four plans, each designed for a different level of usage.

The Free plan (0,00 EUR/month) gives you 5,000 monthly credits for manual searches. This plan is perfect for trying out the core features at no cost.

The Starter plan (7,00 EUR/month) provides 25,000 monthly credits, unlimited automatic scans, and credit rollover. This plan is the sweet spot for anyone who wants multiple auto-scans running daily.

The Pro plan (19,00 EUR/month) offers 75,000 monthly credits, unlimited auto-scans, and rollover. This plan is suited for heavy users tracking many searches at tight intervals.

The Power plan (39,00 EUR/month) provides 150,000 monthly credits, unlimited auto-scans, and rollover. This plan is for users running high-frequency scans across many platforms throughout the day.

Not sure which plan fits? Start a 7-day free Pro trial, no credit card required, and test the full experience before paying anything.

The full comparison is on the Plans page.

On the Starter, Pro, and Power plans, unused credits from one month carry forward into the next, capped at one month’s allowance.

For example: if you’re on Starter with a 25,000-credit limit and only use 9,000 this month, the remaining 16,000 are added to your balance next month, giving you 41,000 credits to spend. This means a lighter month gives you more muscle for a heavier one, at no extra cost.

The Free plan does not include credit rollover.

When your monthly credits run out, manual searches are blocked and automatic scans pause until your balance resets on the first of the next month.

Your saved searches, bookmarks, and settings all stay intact. If you need to resume searching before the reset, upgrading your plan gives you a new credit limit immediately, and your scans pick up where they left off.

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time. The new limit and features apply right away.

Cancellation is handled through Stripe’s customer portal, accessible from the Billing page. When you cancel, you keep access to your current plan until the end of the billing period. Your account and data remain intact; only the paid features deactivate at the end of the period.

Automatic Scans & Alerts

An automatic scanis a saved search that All Second Hand automatically re-runs for you on a schedule. You choose the interval — from every two minutes up to once a day, depending on your plan — and the app checks all the platforms in that search for new listings. When genuinely new items appear, you get notified through the channels you’ve configured.

Instead of you remembering to check back, the app watches for you and only alerts you when there’s something new worth seeing. It is the feature that moves All Second Hand from a tool you use into a background assistant that works while you do other things. You manage your auto-scans from the Scans page, where you can toggle each one on or off, adjust intervals, and see estimated credit costs.

All Second Hand currently supports five notification channels, and you can enable any combination from the Settings page.

RSS: automatically active for every account. You ’ll find your personal feed URL in Settings; drop it into any RSS reader for a live stream of your latest finds.

Email: notifications arrive at your registered address with the full listing details.

Telegram: connect through a simple one-time code: generate it in Settings, send it to our shared Telegram bot, and the’re linked. Alerts arrive as Telegram messages automatically.

Discord and Slack: both work via webhook URLs: paste the URL for the channel where you want alerts to land, and the app sends them there. A master toggle on the Settings page lets you turn all notifications on or off with a single click.

Automatic scans are a paid feature: the Freeplan doesn’t include them (manual search only). On all paid plans (Starter, Pro, and Power), the amount of simultaneous automatic scans is unlimited.

Want to try automatic scans before paying? Start the 7-day free Pro trial — no credit card required.

The right interval depends on what you’re hunting. For items where being first matters, such as limited-stock deals, rare collectibles, or low-priced listings that won’t last, the tightest interval your plan allows gives you the best chance (every 2 minutes on Power, 10 minutes on Pro, 1 hour on Starter). For slower-moving items like furniture or common electronics where you’re watching for a price drop, intervals of thirty minutes to a few hours are perfectly sufficient.

Faster scans consume more credits. Scanning six platforms (at roughly 1 credit each) every five minutes costs about 1,728 credits per day; once an hour costs only 144. The Scans page shows estimated credit costs for each configuration, so you can tune each scan to balance speed against your monthly budget.

If one platform in your scan is temporarily unreachable (due to a server outage, rate-limit, or anti-bot challenge), the scan continues with the remaining platforms and returns whatever it can. You are only charged credits for platforms that were successfully searched. If a platform fails repeatedly, the system flags it for investigation so we can determine whether it’s a temporary blip or something that needs a fix on our side.

Account & Privacy

No account is required for basic searching: anyone can run up to five free manual searches per day without signing in. Creating an account, which is free and takes under a minute, unlocks the full experience: 5,000 free credits every month on the Free plan, saved searches, bookmarks, automatic scans, and alerts.

Your account also stores your preferences (country, currency, notification channels, scan configurations, ...) so your setup follows you across devices.

All notification settings live on the Settings page, accessible from your profile menu. There you’ll find a master toggle to enable or disable all notifications at once, plus individual configuration for email, Telegram, Discord, and Slack.

The RSS feed is always active and requires no setup: just copy the URL shown in Settings into your reader.

Connecting Telegramtakes a single step: generate a code, send it to our bot, and you’re linked.

Discord and Slack each need a webhook URL from the channel where you want alerts to appear. Changes take effect immediately.

Yes. Under Display Preferences on the Settings page, you can choose from most major currencies. Whenever needed, prices are converted to your chosen currency at daily exchange rates.

The conversion applies everywhere (search results, saved listings, price filters, alerts) so you always see prices in the format most useful to you. Changing your currency doesn’t affect the underlying listings. It simply presents them to you in your preferred format.

We store the information needed to make All Second Hand work for you: your email address, saved search configurations, bookmarked listings, credit usage history, and notification preferences.

We do not store payment details of any kind: all billing is handled entirely by Stripe, and we never see or hold your card or bank information.

If you delete your account, everything we stored is permanently removed. No data is retained after deletion.

Yes. Account deletion is available from the Settings page, under the Danger Zone section.

Deleting your account permanently removes all of your data: saved searches, bookmarks, credit history, notification settings, and your account itself.

Deleting your account cannot be undone, so make sure you’ve saved anything you want to keep first.
